IEEE Day is an annual event that celebrates the first time in history when engineers worldwide gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. One of the IEEE Day’s objectives is to show the ways IEEE members, in local communities, join together to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow.

On October 3rd, 2023. The IEEE - Cal Poly Pomona Student Chapter gathered together to celebrate IEEE Day. First, we had a quick presentation with updates regarding future workshops and events, right after that we gave some information regarding the history of IEEE and what IEEE Day represents for engineers and students. We gave prizes to the students who participated on the paper airplane contest and we offered free food to everyone who went to the event.
